Prof. Dr. Dženana Huseinagić

Prof. Dr. Dženana Huseinagić is a soprano, Doctor of Media and Communication Sciences, university professor, vocal pedagogue, and concert artist, as well as an academician and Corresponding Member of the International Research Academy of Science and Art (MIANU/IRASA).

She began her musical education in Tuzla, where she completed both primary and secondary music school. She later graduated in Solo Singing from the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo and continued her advanced studies in solo singing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. In addition to her musical education, she completed postgraduate studies in media and communications and earned her doctorate in Media and Communication Sciences with a dissertation focused on public relations in institutions of art and culture.

Since 2018, she has been active in higher education in the fields of solo singing and vocal technique. In 2024, she was appointed Associate Professor of Vocal Technique at the Music Academy in Bijeljina. She also holds teaching positions at the European University Brčko District and the European University Kallos in Tuzla. At the same time, she teaches solo singing at the Primary Music School in Tuzla, where she was among the initiators of establishing the school's Solo Singing Department.

Throughout her artistic career, she has given numerous concert performances in Bosnia and Herzegovina and across Europe. Her notable international appearances include performances in London, Birmingham, Vienna, Trondheim, Stockholm, Zagreb, Belgrade, and Poznań, as well as professional lectures dedicated to sevdah, the traditional musical heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and vocal art.

She is the recipient of awards at national and regional competitions in solo singing and chamber music, including Second Prize at the Federal Solo Singing Competition, Second Prize in Chamber Music, and Third Prize at a regional competition. In recognition of her professional and social engagement, she also received an award as part of the “Super Woman” initiative. In 2018, she became a Corresponding Member of the International Research Academy of Science and Art (MIANU/IRASA).

As a vocal pedagogue, lecturer, member and chair of professional juries, and concert artist, she is continuously dedicated to the development of young singers and to the preservation and promotion of the musical heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with particular emphasis on sevdalinka.

Through Dženana Voice Academy, she brings together her academic expertise, extensive pedagogical experience, and professional career as a concert soprano, offering students, aspiring singers, and professional vocalists worldwide a structured and individually tailored approach to voice development, vocal technique, musical interpretation, and artistic expression.
